Raising all-natural chicken has been our passion for over 40 years! We are family-owned and always have been, dating back to 1974 when we made the switch from raising turkeys to raising chickens. Over the decades, we have grown, but we still maintain the hands-on approach and family values we are known for. We carefully monitor every step, from the production of the eggs to the hatchery, all the way to the processing facility – making Miller Poultry truly an “egg to table” operation.

Our locally home-grown chickens are fed a corn and soy-based diet with no antibiotics, no artificial ingredients or coloring, no hormones, which is produced at our own feed mill in New Paris, Indiana. Our farms are in a smaller regional area, located within miles of our processing plant, so our carbon footprint is minimized.

History

Our parent company, Pine Manor, Inc. was established in 1942, when Milo and Annas Miller aquired Pine Manor Farms, an upscale dairy farm. In 1947, Pine Manor Farms began hatching, raising, and processing turkeys, and 1974, moved on to raising broiler chickens and hatching chicks themselves. In 1992, Miller Poultry purchased Booth Poultry processing plant in Orland, Indiana, as well as their very own feed mill in New Paris, Indiana. Shortly after, significant renovations were made to the feed mill, enhancing the quality of feed for the chickens. In 2000, the first major renovations began at the processing plant, with a new automated weigh and cut-up system installation. Since then, Miller Poultry has invested millions of dollars to maintain and expand its state-of-the-art processing facility, with the most recent 100,000-square-foot expansion completed in 2020. In 2021, Miller Poultry switched to producing 100% air-chilled chicken. These additions to update equipment and technology to the processing plant continue to ensure our customers with the highest quality, pure, and natural chicken we can produce.
